Overview
Light to Night Singapore 2026 returns from 9 to 31 January 2026, marking the festival’s 10th edition and its most expansive run yet across four consecutive weekends. As an annual public arts festival, the event transforms Singapore’s Civic District into an immersive, accessible night-time arts experience, inviting visitors to discover installations, enjoy performances, and explore familiar spaces in a new way after dark.

Guided by the theme “The Power in Us,” this year’s edition celebrates the collective strength that emerges when people and communities come together through art. With free entry and programming designed to be family-friendly and suitable for all ages, Light to Night Singapore continues to encourage shared discovery, participation, and connection across multiple outdoor and indoor locations.
Festival Highlights

Spanning multiple locations within the Civic District, Light to Night Singapore 2026 features a wide range of night-time art and light installations that illuminate iconic buildings and public spaces after sunset. Large-scale façade projections form a key visual highlight, creating striking moments that invite visitors to move through the district and encounter art beyond traditional gallery settings.

Alongside the installations, the festival presents a variety of performances and interactive experiences, including live music, dance crews, percussion bands, DJs, and roving acts. These programmes add rhythm and energy to the evenings while maintaining an approachable atmosphere that appeals to both casual visitors and arts enthusiasts.
Art X Social: Festival Village

Art X Social: Festival Street is a free-entry festival village that takes place only on selected weekends during Light to Night Singapore 2026. Running on 9 & 10 January, 16 & 17 January, and 23 & 24 January 2026, the festival street activates St Andrew’s Road and Empress Lawn with a curated mix of food vendors, craft and retail stalls, and live performances.
Operating hours vary slightly by location. St Andrew’s Road runs from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM, while Empress Lawn operates from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM, allowing visitors to plan their visit around installations, performances, and crowd levels. The open-air layout and relaxed pacing make the festival village a popular weekend stop within the broader Civic District arts experience, particularly during Pet Weekend at Empress Lawn.
Pet-Friendly Experience

While Light to Night Singapore is not a pet-led event, the 2026 edition introduces a dedicated Pet Weekend on 23 and 24 January 2026, during which pets are welcomed in selected outdoor festival areas. Taking place at Empress Lawn, Pet Weekend features curated pet-friendly activities, photo opportunities, and vendors designed to allow pet owners to experience the festival more comfortably with their pets.
Open-air spaces within the Civic District, particularly Empress Lawn during Pet Weekend, provide suitable environments for leashed pets to accompany their owners while experiencing the festival. Pet parents should note that outdoor areas are pet-friendly except for the Padang, and indoor venues, including the National Gallery Singapore, are not pet-friendly. As crowd levels tend to build later in the evening, earlier time slots are generally more comfortable for pets.
